Late Night Messages

“You check messages late night too!😃” asked a friend after seeing my response at 03:03 hrs.
Yes, I do. Have received some of the best and the worst messages at such hours was my response to her remark. And this took me back in time to reminisce about the late night soirees and indulge myself to write this post.
Late nights have there own glamour. My father was a night bird and so am I. He was always up till late, reading or writing while he was doing his PhD. Following in his footsteps, I too got into the habit of studying late in the nights. There were also two annual late nights which our family would celebrate, one was the birth of Lord Krishna and the other was Sharad Purnima a harvest festival celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Ashvin (September to October), marking the end of the monsoon season.
Late night talks with friends as teenagers, with Abhay before marriage and even after had there own charm. And I cherish the conversations I used to have with my father whenever he was in the hospital and couldn’t sleep. Even today I would rather prefer a late night conversation over any other time!
Coming back to the best messages that I have received, the mail intimating me about my selection to be a Google for Education Certified Trainer came very early in the morning and I didn’t know whom to share the good news with. As is my wont, I checked my other social media accounts and saw a message from a past student, a Merchant Mariner, on my FB messenger. I responded to the message and popped another one from him. And so he became the first person to know about it. I told him that I was aching to share the news with someone since the world around me was sleeping and he responded, “OMG. That’s such big news! The world around me is sleeping too. And I’m so happy to be reading this. Let me go to the kitchen and get something sweet to eat. It’s celebrations time.” ❤
Two other recent and late night messages that made my day or should I say night! were from the WordPress. The pink dot on the notification icon always makes me skip a beat and this time it happened twice in quick succession. The first notification informed me about crossing the 10.000 views mark and the second one told me about getting 100 followers. Such wonderful messages!!😍

So, a big thank you to everyone around, the followers, the readers, family, friends and well wishers who have supported, encouraged, liked and commented but most importantly have kept visiting the blog whether I have posted regularly or not. Don’t think I would have been able to reach these benchmarks without the faith you had in my writing. Thank you very much!!
