A Birthday Gift!

Abhay always wanted two things for himself. One he wanted to live for 500 years and secondly, he appreciated my mediocre writing so much that he wanted me to write a book on him and I always laughed it off.
It would have been his 50th birthday this 19th of November and I had always dreamt of a super special celebration for him. Most of the planning was already done in the head but a party can’t happen in the absence of the ‘Birthday Boy’.
I truly wanted to make this birthday special for him even when he is not physically present and thought that maybe a feature on Abhay by Humans of Bombay Official would be a good way to celebrate him, even if a book does not happen. So, here we celebrate the man who meant a lot to me, though a little belated because this feature was published just a while ago.
Belated Happy Birthday, Abuji! Here’s your birthday gift and I don’t mind it getting delayed because a celebration should go on till the last gift is opened. Think this is the longest we have celebrated your birthday.
The feature can be found at:

So special how you say the celebrations can last until the final gift is opened. Love truly is a gift that is never done, so the festival of light and love can continue.
This is such an amazing way to honour him, and to keep his energy connecting. I love the pictures, what a smile! Now, on to that book he suggested!
I’m so pleased with how this tribute/observance turned out. Happy belated birthday to him, and may his energy always surround you.
