Defiance

Today I found this solitary flower in the morning. It looked cheerful growing there enjoying its own company, oblivious to the cacophony of morning rush. And then I wondered if it was standing it’s ground, choosing to keep its world wonderful for itself?
I realise that defiance is futile when the fight is with our own self. We end up hurting ourselves whether it’s a win or loss; but then, it is difficult at times to go with the flow!
