How are you?

on

“How are you?”, asked mom dad.
Do you have enough? Are you well fed?
Oh yes! Don’t you worry,
the larder’s full and am having chicken curry.
“How are you?”, asked my sis and my bro.
Do you have enough? Want us to send some dough?
Oh I’m good! Don’t you worry,
work is good and I have to hurry.
“How are you?”, asked the friends.
Shall we go shopping, or movies and then gossip today?
Yeah, that would be great but
let’s do it another day.
No worries, we are there…just let us know.
Sure, sure, I have everyone by my side.
There’s a lot I owe.
The day’s gone and I’ve been good.
I’ve laughed and lived as I should.
“How are you?”, asked the mirror, the pillow, the room.
And I don’t want to answer,
for they’ll hear what I won’t tell.
I’m not good, life’s hard.
It is a hell!

Happens at times, when you want to keep it all inside!
But it may build up more than what actually was.

    Take care!! Shruthi.
