The Little Pink Dot

Every morning I ritually go to the WordPress and check my blog. A little pink dot on the bell icon is what I always look for and I skip a beat, every time I see it. 🤩
If you have ever been on WordPress and seen that dot, you will understand what it means. It is a notification that someone has either liked a post or commented on one or has started following the blog. But then sometimes there’s a notification from WordPress too and the pink dot that I got recently was just that. It notified me this:
Happy Anniversary with  WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com one year ago.
Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging. 🥳

One year completed on WordPress!😎😇
Yes, one year back I registered here but the first post was posted on 27th of this month. Now, am not sure whether WordPress will wish me again for my first post or not but thought it right to celebrate the anniversary as it’s just a couple of days away.
So, thank you WordPress for giving me a platform, more likely a play field to let me shoot, volley and dunk my words. I found many wonderful people who are following my blog. Many are fellow bloggers who write far better than I do but are still considerate enough to like my posts and follow my blog. Thanks to WordPress I can identify 27 different flags from Australia to Uganda. And there are people who not only enquire about me, my health and Shubham but also ask or talk about the latest post on my blog.❤️
I’ve poured my heart out, paid my  tribute, shared my experiences and stories throughout the year. There are posts I am proud of and then there are those that make me cringe but they are all mine and I love them because they tell me who I am, a someone in the middle, neither all good nor all bad, neither a professional writer nor an amateur wannabe. Now what do you call the one who’s somewhere in between? I am that!
There have been times when I have written loads and then there are those few Wednesdays when I have not posted anything. There are times when I’ve been over the moon because of your lovely comments and I’ve also been to the bottomless pit of misery because a post didn’t garner much attention.
I have gone on to share the link of my latest post on groups like an attention seeking toddler without bothering whether others want it or not but the people have been kind. They might have ignored it but never ever showed their disapproval for my posting it. End result I have been able to write consistently with a decent 56 posts to my credit.
And it is all thanks to all 3k+ visitors who have visited, revisited, read and appreciated my mostly mediocre writing. I am deeply indebted to all of you for your support and encouragement through your views, likes and comments and also for following this blog. Look forward to your continued support. Keep reading, keep liking and your comments here will be much appreciated because many comments sent to me are wonderful insights in themselves and deserve to be seen and read by all and not me alone. Also, I can always read them up here and get the much needed impetus whenever hit by the writer’s block.😀

PS: This post would be incomplete without the mention of my class of VII – B, who are in IX now and Shubham for being instrumental in the creation of soansrezones. 😘🤗
